Self- Introduction

Victoria McCoy is a science enthusiast who is majoring in biological sciences for licensure and minoring in chemistry. Victoria graduated from St. Martin High School in 2015 with advanced honors, special honors, and Mississippi scholars. During her high school career, she received academic awards for chemistry, biology II, and marine science. Victoria began her college career at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College where she maintained a 4.0 grade point average. She is currently a proud undergraduate at University of Southern Mississippi in Long Beach, Mississippi. During her time at the university, Victoria intends to become a member of the biology club and The Society for Collegiate Leadership and Achievement.
            Victoria’s goal as a future educator is to encourage younger generations to accel academically and gain professional- level skills by reinforcing the excitement of analyzing how various life forms function. Before she completes the student teaching capstone courses in the spring of 2019, Victoria intends to have a teaching position as a high school biology or chemistry teacher on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. After she completes the biology licensure undergraduate program, she will return to the University of Southern Mississippi to enroll in the biological sciences graduate program. With a Master’s in Biological Sciences, Victoria plans to teach on a professional college level.
